1. Measurement: Before purchasing, measure the space where the furniture will be placed, as well as the pathways it will need to pass through, including doorways, hallways, and elevators.
2. Clear Pathways: Ensure that all pathways from the delivery point to the final location are clear of obstacles. This includes removing any furniture, rugs, or other items that might block the way.
3. Protect Floors: Use protective coverings on floors to prevent damage during the moving process. Felt pads or blankets can be used to safeguard hardwood or tiled floors.
4. Team Effort: For larger items, ensure you have enough people to help with the move. Heavy and bulky furniture pieces may require more than two people to maneuver safely.
5. Assembly: Some furniture items may require assembly upon delivery. Make sure you have the necessary tools and follow the assembly instructions carefully to avoid damage or injury.
6. Professional Help: If you are unsure about moving or assembling the furniture yourself, consider hiring professional movers or assemblers to assist you.
