This policy explains what personal information MUTUKISPACE collects when you visit or shop with us, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have over your data.

01

Who we are

MUTUKISPACE (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is an online furniture and home-goods store operated by Hanko Premium Co., Ltd., a company established in Japan in 2011. We sell furniture and home living products to customers, primarily in the United States, through our website at mutukispace.com.

For the purposes of applicable data-protection law, Hanko Premium Co., Ltd. is the data controller responsible for your personal information. Our registered address and full contact details are in Section 15.

02

Information we collect

We collect information in three ways: information you give us, information collected automatically when you use the site, and information we receive from third parties such as payment and shipping providers.

Information you give us

  • Order and contact details — name, shipping and billing address, email address, and phone number.
  • Account details — login credentials and saved preferences if you create an account.
  • Communications — messages, questions, and review or survey content you send us.
  • Payment details — your card or payment information is collected and processed directly by our payment processors; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, and referring URLs.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 5 for details and your choices.

Information from third parties

  • Order, fraud-screening, and delivery updates from payment processors, fraud-prevention services, and shipping carriers.
  • Aggregated advertising and analytics data from platforms such as Google and Meta where you have interacted with our ads.

03

05

Cookies & tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, measure site performance, and, where you allow it, show you relevant advertising.

  • Essential cookies — required for the cart, checkout, and account login to function.
  • Analytics cookies — help us understand site usage, for example through Google Analytics.
  • Advertising cookies — used by partners such as Google and Meta to measure and personalize ads.

You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where shown, through the cookie banner on our site. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works.

06

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with the parties needed to run our store and as described below:

  • Service providers — e-commerce platform, payment processors, shipping carriers, warehouses, and customer-support tools that process data on our behalf.
  • Advertising & analytics partners — such as Google and Meta, where you have consented to advertising or analytics cookies.
  • Legal & safety — authorities or advisors when required by law or to protect our rights, customers, and the public.
  • Business transfers — a successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Some sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising may be treated as a “sale” or “share” under certain U.S. state laws. See Section 11 for how to opt out.

07

International data transfers

We operate from Japan and serve customers primarily in the United States, and our service providers may be located in other countries. This means your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data-protection laws differ from those where you live. Where required, we put appropriate safeguards in place, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect your information when it is transferred internationally.

08

How long we keep your data

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, typically for the life of your account and order history, and afterward as required to meet tax, accounting, warranty, and legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymize it.

09

How we protect your data

We use technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit through HTTPS, access controls, and trusted service providers, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly to any incident.

10

Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, including unsubscribing from marketing emails using the link in any message.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 15. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity first. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

11

U.S. state privacy rights

If you are a resident of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion or correction, and opt out of “sales” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising.

We do not sell personal information for money. To opt out of cross-context behavioral advertising, you can reject advertising cookies in your browser or our cookie banner, or contact us at order@mutukispace.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

12

Children's privacy

Our store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

13

Third-party links

Our site may link to third-party websites and social media, including Facebook, Instagram, X, and YouTube. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies before sharing information with them.

14
